Reputation for Quality. The Orginal Supersoft.
Although we continually strive for new design innovations and market opportunities, the core of our business remains in quality woollen yarns many of which are exclusive for our cloth. At present renewed energy has been placed on focusing in these key strengths; colour, design, quality and character.
We have a reputation for processing the best quality Shetland yarns, not just in Scotland, but in the world. No other Shetland yarn can match the natural softness, colour, three-dimensional character and quality of our product and our uncompromising manufacturing standards.
We are in fact the mill that originally produced Supersoft to describe this universally accepted Shetland lambswool quality. Our customers will know that this term has been copied throughout the industry, but few can live up to the name as we can.

Coordinating story of fabric and knitwear designs
Our yarns and cloth can match the design flair demanded by today's most discerning clients. Our carding engineers and colour lab technicians work in unison to ensure colours reflect the latest design trends. In fact we are noted world-wide for our colour interpretation and justifiably recognised as "The Colours of Scotland".
Moreover, having both cloth and yarn made by the same company ensures our fabrics remain exclusive and distinctive in quality, colour and character. In fact, many of the qualities and colours we create for our stock supported yarns are also used in our cloth designs. This is a real time saver for designers looking to source yarns and fabrics of the same high standards, not to mention the benefits of it being in production together right back from the time the raw wool is delivered to our mill.

Over 200 years of colour. The Colours of Scotland.
With over 200 years behind us in the textile industry, we know how to spin fibres that will give their best in final manufacture, and we have the capacity to produce some 10-14 tons of yarn (depending on count) and 10,000 meters of woven cloth a week.
We have over 1000 lambswool and Shetland cloth designs available from 280-680 gms. Typically our yarns range from 4Nm to 17Nm.
We can also develop special counts and qualities for our customers requirements.
